Observing Jealous Birds

Observing Jealous Birds

As a belated Valentine's Day contemplation this is a nature observation with undertones of love, greed, jealousy, pain, theft and survival.

A robin scatters about the ground, searching. It is red in some part. Only the bosom, the cage that sustains it's life. A cardinal creeps up in the robin's territory behind his back. The robin is aware and creeps closer to the cardinal. Just then another robin flys in to the opposite direction of the cardinal. The first robin is curious about what his twin robin has. But the twin stumbles off into thicker vegetation. The first robin remembers the red cardinal's flashy coat and frantic movements growing stronger. The first robin slowly creeps closer to the cardinal until they brush feathers for a few warm seconds. The red cardinal is violently jerking it's beak at the ground then suddenly the first robing makes a sharp jab with his break and greedily takes the red cardinal's treasure. The cardinal crys and the first robing flys off with the worm in his mouth to the area of his twin.
